Arabesque

As part of the Arts in Motion Series, “Arabesque” represents a ballerina in the traditional arabesque pose. The figure is so simple, yet it manages to capture both the grace and movement of the ballet dancer. She is perfectly balanced on one leg with the other extended backward. Her back is arched, head tilted, and her arms curve gracefully in position. Paused for a brief moment, until the music moves her in another direction.
