This is the first sculpture in a series of six pieces that were made as part of the Mother’s Nature Series. Constructed of solid bronze, this abstract piece flows with energy and was inspired by overwhelming power and beauty Mother Nature herself. With a Hibiscus Stamen head and leaf-like arms and legs, she is larger than the earth and seemingly more powerful. She seems to be both protecting the earth beneath her and celebrating her ownership of it.

“The Waltz” was created in honor of a 50th Wedding Anniversary, however, the organic abstract figures dancing “on top of the world” could be representative of any couple enjoying a waltz together. The female figure is more gentle and shapely, while the male figure is a bit larger and obviously leading the dance. In keeping with the natural theme of the Mother’s Nature Series, the figures have flower-shaped heads positioned as if they are happy to be sharing this moment together.

Dressed to go out and ready to have a wonderful time, this sculpture reflects the endless possibilities of fun things that can happen on a day off. She is poised atop her little world in a way that allows you to see the lightness in her step and to feel her carefree attitude.

As if skipping playfully through the garden, “Mother Dances” reflects the joyful exuberance of a warm spring day. Her delightful flower head atop a long curving neck and flowing arms and legs make her look as if she is in constant motion. As a part of the Mother’s Nature series, “Morning Glory” was inspired by the heroes of 9/11 and honors all of our men and women in uniform. Abstract and organic in form, it represents fire fighters, police, or the armed services. Our men and women in uniform can never get enough credit for risking their lives to save ours on a daily basis.
